Dare to Dream 1 Million Rosaries

How Is God Calling You?
God enters our lives as we are, where we are, doing what we do, and invites
us to "more"! God invites all people to love and serve as  Jesus did
in whatever vocation or life path they follow. You may be called to love
and serve others as a married person, as a single person,
or as one committed to vowed community life.

HEARING THE CALL

" The first and principal commitment
for vocations can be none other than prayer...
Prayer for vocations is a task
for the entire Christian Community."
                                                      Pope John Paul II

Do you have a calling  to serve our Lord as a priest?
Father Peter Smith, who received miraculous healings
 through the intercession of
 St. Francis Xavier Cabrini, says:
"A vocation to the priesthood is like a golden coin
 with inscriptions on both sides.
On the front is found:  "I chose you."
On the other side:  "My grace is sufficient." "
Mother Cabrini's motto from St. Paul reinforces this:
"I am able to do all things in Him who strengthens me."

See Christian Links page for more information on vocations.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations
 Sunday April 21, 2002

Prayer for Vocations
Good Shepherd
You are the one who calls, guides,
and keeps us close to you.
May we always listen to your voice calling us
to a life dedicated to you.

May we appreciate the gifts you have given us.
In turn, may we generously offer ourselves to you
through a life of service for your people.
May we always recognize the gifts
of the Spirit alive in everyone.

On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations,
we join our prayers with those who are
participating in the Continental Congress
for Vocations in North America.
We pray for a generous response
to your call for service,
especially to the ordained and consecrated life.

We offer this prayer through the power of your Spirit.
                                                                            Amen.
