The next guest speaker for the October 2002 Magnificat Meal
will be announced in July.
The breakfasts are scheduled on a Saturday morning
from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon.

In the words of the Magnificat in Luke 1:46-49, Mary proclaimed to Elizabeth her gratitude for the wonderful action of the God in her life.

Please join us at a breakfast for Catholic women of the area where we will share together in that same spirit of gratitude and praise of God.

After our meal, there will be an opportunity to hear one woman's experience of the transforming love of Christ in her own life.

This will be followed by a time of prayer for the needs of all present. Please plan to bring a friend.

Something about the previous Guest Speaker...

Linda Poindexter was born in Indianapolis and is married to retired Rear Admiral, John Poindexter. They are the proud parents of five sons and thirteen grandchildren.

Linda believes that she has always led an altar-centered life, and she received her Masters in Divinity degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1986. In that same year, she became an ordained pastor.

For thirteen years, she served as rector in the Episcopal Church. As result of a five-year long search for the truth, Linda was received into the Roman Catholic Church on Easter in 1999.

Currently, Linda is a full-time wife, mother and grandmother and is very active at St. Raphael parish in Rockville, MD. She has appeared as a guest on EWTN's program Journey Home, and is currently writing her autobiography.
