Divine Mercy

Our Lord's promises from the Diary of St. Faustina.

I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy (1109).

Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will  be granted complete forgiveness of sins and punishment  (300).

The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy
Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins and
punishment (699).
"...It is my desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first   Sunday after Easter...I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a  refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor  sinners.  On that day the very depths of My tender mercy  are open.  I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those  souls who approach the fountain of my mercy." (699).

"...I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish.  I also promise victory over [its] enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death.  I Myself will defend it as my own glory (47,48)...I am offering people a vessel with  which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy.  That vessel is the image with the  signature: "Jesus, I trust in You" (327).

 Jesus, I trust in you!

Are you a sinner?

Since we are all sinners,
we can all benefit by praying these Divine Mercy prayers.

 Jesus asked
St. Maria Faustina
to begin praying the novena prayers on Good Friday
 and ending on the
Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday.

Divine Mercy
Sunday
 is the
first Sunday after
Easter.

Don't miss God's
abundant graces
being offered
 to you.

"JESUS,
I TRUST
IN YOU"

"JESUS,
EN TI
CONFIO"

Fr. Joseph, MIC, explains about the message of mercy in the Spring 2002 issue of Marian Helper magazine:

"First, remember that the message of mercy is simple:
God's love for us knows no bounds, and His Mercy endures forever.  All are invited to come to the Lord in trust to receive His forgiveness and healing, consolation and peace.  The greater the sinner, the greater right the person has to receive the Lord's mercy.

"We are invited to turn to the Lord with trust to receive grace, remembering that on Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus promised:

'On that day the very depths of my tender mercy are open. I pour out  a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy.

The soul that will go to Confession and receive
Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment."

(From the Diary of St. Maria Faustina,699.)

"Yet so many Catholics are still unaware of these extraordinary  graces --
even  though the Feast of Divine Mercy is being celebrated as a universal feast  for the second year.

" You can be the hands and
feet of the Merciful Savior in
  helping those families,
  neighborhoods, and
  parishes to prepare well to
  receive the extraordinary
  graces that are available on
  that day.

 Continued...

  "Pray and encourage your
   family and friends -- especially
those who are away from the
  Sacraments -- to go to
  Confession before Easter.
  Finally help your loved ones
  and friends in whatever ways
you can to attend Holy Mass
  and receive Holy Communion
  on Divine Mercy Sunday.  We
  desire to reach every Catholic
  in the United States and
  Canada with the good news
  of Divine Mercy Sunday."*

  * Confession in preparation
  for Easter is sufficient.
However, one must be in the
  state of grace to receive
  Holy Communion worthily
  on Divine Mercy Sunday.
  Here one must trust:  you
can not "maybe" be in the
  state of mortal sin.
