A Tear in His Eyes
They said the Angels cried on the day our Savior died.
On that day someone so filled with love, gave up His life.
So that we could live and not be tried.
His love redeemed us all,
And yet, we cannot here His call,
I thought I could never love as He,
I thought of His love,
I thought of the hearts, of those who loved Him most.
All the while my heart would grow.
It would live through the trials and pains.
It would rejoice in the gentle moments it felt loved.
Until one moment it saw a child in distress, sad, hungry and hurt.
In that moment my heart knew, that this Moment,
Was filled with grace, for my heart knew, in that instance,
Our Savior was moved to bring love to the Child.
That if any heart could hear His love, it would know.
That the greatest sadness ever known,
Is for a child of His to suffer, cold and alone.
For all the Love for us he feels, all that He carries for us,
One instance of a child who is need,
How one could not see, how this one solitary moment,
Would bring tears to His eyes,
Seeing a child in need of His love,
I heard in my heart, and felt in my soul, a sadness only He could
know.
In that moment, my heart was broken, not only because a child was in
need.
But because I saw my savior cry.
I heard Him say, how can they not know,
How can they not see, How precious each child is to me.
Do they not know, that each child is the youth of their souls.
A gift of love for them to cherish and hold.
Nothing is a greater loss than a child without love.
To care for a child is to nurture ones soul,
To give wings to an angel as yet unborn.
Pray, Pray, Pray, that all will hear in their hearts,
How precious it is to love a child,
How the innocence of love, is the essence of peace.
On that day I heard a song of love, a lullaby to sing to my lord.
The melody that love brings,
To dry a tear from one child's eyes,
To heal one little spirit,
To hold the hand of one who is lost,
To feed an empty tummy,
To tell a child he is loved,
All these things, will make your heart sing,
For each little shower of love,
Is an echo of How He Loves us.
May all children, find a love that delivers them into His arms safe
and sound,
May they be surrounded by His angels and kept from harm,
Most of all May our hearts be moved ever more to care.
For each and every one.
