Feast Day of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus
“I will let fall from Heaven…a Shower of Roses”

St.Thérèse of the Child Jesus has been described as
the “greatest saint of modern times.”
“My mission – to make God loved – will begin after my death,” she said.
“I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.
I will let fall a shower of roses.”
Countless lives have been touched by her intercession,
and millions have imitated her spirituality of “THE LITTLE WAY.”
"What matters in life is “not great deeds, but great love.”

My life has been so blessed through the friendship and intercession
of this precious St. Thérèse.  No words can describe her
impact on my life.  It is true.  She sends you roses.  Some say
it even rained rose petals at her canonization in Rome, years ago.
I have received countless roses in the time I have
maintained my friendship with her.

Just to share a little bit about her:
She loved Jesus so much, she wanted to enter the convent
when she was too young to enter.  It was a matter
of time, and God's grace, that she became a Carmelite Nun.
She died of tuberculosis when she was twenty-four years old.
She suffered very much.  There were times when she would
cough up blood.  During this time of suffering, she did not
"feel" God close to her, but she knew out of her
tremendous FAITH that God loved her, even
though she did not feel him close.
I encourage you to pray the Novena Prayer below.
I have prayed it many times, over and over again.
I know she hears me and intercedes for me,
and helps to obtain what is best for my
eternal soul, even though it is not always what I desire.
Give it a try.
 I also recommend her autobiography,
"Story of a Soul."
It is easy reading; she was very simple, even
though she was very blessed by God.
She loved Jesus intensely.
My prayer, is that you, too, will
love the Holy Trinity and
Our Mother, Mary, and
her spouse St. Joseph, deeply.
May you be blessed in a special way
through the intercession of St. Therese.
Her life was marked by extreme love for our precious Lord Jesus,
no matter the circumstances or suffering she endured.
She knew of God’s great love for her and all mankind
 – including YOU!

The world came to know her through her autobiography,
"The Story of A Soul."
She described her life as "a little way of spiritual child hood."
She lived each day with unshakable confidence in God's love.
What matters in life is "not great deeds, but great love."

St. Thérèse Novena Prayer

Glorious St. Thérèse, whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and inspire the human family, I implore your Miraculous Intercession. You are so powerful in obtaining every need of body and spirit from the Heart of God. Holy Mother Church proclaims you 'Prodigy of Miracles ... the Greatest Saint of Modem Times." Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention here) and to carry out your promises of spending Heaven doing good upon earth ... of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses. Little Flower, give me your childlike faith, to see the Face of God in the people and experiences of' my life, and to love God with full confidence. St. Thérèse, my Carmelite Sister, I will fulfill your plea 'to be made known everywhere" and I will continue to lead others to Jesus through you.   Amen.

"O My God! Most Blessed Trinity, I desire to love You and make you loved,
to work for the glory of Holy Church by saving souls..." -
St. Thérèse
